      2. Pressure does not bother me. There are times that a lot of orders come in and I need to apply myself to the job.

      1. It's something I really enjoy doing. I found frosting cakes simply to be enjoyable. And one day I realized a cake is no difference from a canvas, and the frosting is the paint. And even better than a painting, it's delicious!

      2. My least favorite thing about cake decorating is trimming down the edges of the cake.

      1. Yes, to a large extent. However, I also know that we have may have many orders so, I balance my detailed side with getting the job done.

      4. There is no such thing as a small detail. From color, to shapes, to borders, to shading. Every detail makes a world of a difference.

      2. There hasn't been one as yet.
      3. After running my own retail business in Russia I am very good at meeting customer needs. I find it very important not to tell customers no in a way that would disappoint them but have learned to make suggestions to guide them to a place where I can help them.

      5. I had to make this photo cake.. N it was raing heaveally that day.. So till the cake reached the customer the photo caught moisture and was smeared.

      1. In any situation like this you cannot take it personally. So when this happens it is sometime more important to listen than talk.
      2. Working in retail there are rude customers every day. I simply give them wonderful customer service and when the sale is finished I invite them back and tell them to enjoy their day.
      3. I will be polite in any case.
      4. Stay calm and ask whats the problem and how can I fix it.
      5. I have. Some customers, whether it's their mood or just the day they're having, sometimes you can't cheer everyone up. If I had a rude customer, I treated them like any other customer, with respect, but maybe with a pinch more patience.

    Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer? What did they request?

      1. Someone wanted a cake a wasn't sure what she wanted I made her a two tier super hero cake with 20 matching cupcakes and she was delighted.
      2. One of my customers was looking for a product that we, nor any store within my region had. I took down her information and contacted home office to track down the item for her, I was able to get it next day shipped to my store, and the customer was able to come in for her product!
      3. I had a woman request a cake for a gender reveal and she wanted something extra special for it. I spent a good hour looking up ideas and came up with a cake skirt tutu. Which she would be able to do herself. She asked if I could do it and she'd just spend extra for it and I agreed because its definitely make the cake stand out more. It took a good hour to make but it was so worth it to see how happy she was with it.
      4. Its my first job so I will come early and if to meet customer values of money I have to stay late I will.
      5. A time I went above and beyond was nearly anytime I created a balloon bouquet at Party City. I was quick at my job and knew my way around well, so I could put together really nice bouquets for low prices. I had a family come in for a football birthday party. I showed them balloons that had not been put out front, and made them a great bouquet, they really loved it.
