Everspace runs at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X, features 1080p 60 FPS mode
According to developer Rockfish Games, Everspace is getting an Xbox 1 X upgrade in the coming days. However, what upgrades does the patch bring to the table? Luckily, an interview betwixt the studio and WCCFtech revealed the respond.
When asked about Everspace running on an Xbox 1 X compared to the PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro), head of Rockfish Michael Schade provided more details. The game runs at native 4K 30 FPS on Xbox One X and checkerboarded 4K 30 FPS on PS4 Pro. However, the title as well features a 60 FPS mode on both consoles, only the Xbox Ane X version features higher quality scenes fifty-fifty at 1080p. The Xbox 1 X should accept the clearest pic as checkerboard rendering introduces numerous artifacts which backbite from image quality.
